Are you a licensed facility?
Yes. Â We are licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. Â License #313614186.
Are you accredited?
We are taking steps towards eventual accreditation by performing ongoing evaluations of our classroom environment, student/teacher interactions, and administrative practices.
Accreditation through a reputable organization like NAEYC is our ultimate goal.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes. Â Our sibling discount is 10% off each additional child after the first.
Does my two year old have to be potty-trained?
No. Â We help with potty training.
Do we have to be Christian/Lutheran?
No. Â We teach a new Bible story each week, have daily devotion, attend Chapel, pray before meals, and base all our teaching on the Bible.
Do we have to attend Holy Cross Church?
No. Â We welcome all children.
What if my child has special needs?
Whenever possible we work with families to make accommodations that meet your child’s needs.  Our goal is to ensure that every child has a positive experience.  For example, our school takes extra steps to protect children with allergies.  We are a peanut-free school.
Can I enroll my child any time during the year?
Yes. Â Children are welcome to start any time of the year.
Is there an enrollment fee?
We charge two registration fees, one for summer and one for the school year.
Can I try out the school for free?
Yes. Â We offer free half-day trials.
Does the school operate year round? Is there a summer program?
Yes.
Are the teachers CPR/First Aid Certified and finger printed?
Yes. Â All staff is CPR/First Aid Certified and cleared by the FBI and the DOJ (Department of Justice).
Are the volunteers finger printed? Are they allowed to supervise my child?
All full-time volunteers are cleared by the FBI and DOJ, but are not authorized to supervise children. Â Parent volunteers are required to meet state guidelines and receive a TB clearance and provide a general statement of health to volunteer. Â Parent volunteers are not allowed to supervise children.
Can I visit my child’s classroom during the day?
Yes.
Are parents encouraged to help in the classrooms/school?
Yes.
What is the teacher to child ratio?
We commit to a ratio of 1:8 in Preschool Prep and 1:10 in all other AM programs. Â During outside play and afternoon enrichment, the ratios may be 1:12 or lower.

Does the Kindergarten program follow the CA State Standards?
Yes.
Is the Kindergarten teacher credentialed?
Yes.
Do you provide snacks during the day?
Yes. Â We serve a morning and afternoon snack comprised of two food groups.
Do you provide lunch?
No. Â We do not have a full service kitchen.
Do the children take naps? If so, what time?
Young children up through Pre-Kindergarten rest from 1-3 PM.
What if my child doesn’t take naps?
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten children whose parents prefer them not to nap, have quiet time from 1-1:45.
Do you take the children on field trips?
We visit the pumpkin patch and do on site field trips…really awesome ones too!
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Â It is explained in our parent handbook.
