Programs
Every program decision we make is designed to meet the needs of your family.
We offer the following full or half-day programs
Kindergarten
Our kindergarten program encourages children to be self-reliant, develop critical thinking skills, and become responsible citizens. Â This is accomplished by offering an engaging program that invites children to explore their world through play and developmentally appropriate activities in a stimulating classroom environment facilitated by an experienced, credentialed teacher.
We provide individualized instruction to meet each child’s unique needs.  Our commitment to a class of ten students enables us to provide more personalized attention.  Our goal is to create a safe learning environment where children feel engaged and confident to reach their full potential.
Our kindergarten program utilizes curriculum that adheres to the CA content area standards for kindergarten. Â Â For more information on the standards for kindergarten, please visit http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/cr/cf/documents/glckindercurriculum.pdf.
In addition to the core academic standards, we believe it is important to provide children with opportunities to engage in physical activity and play. It is our belief that children will expand their physical capabilities and mind through both indoor and outdoor play coupled with a strong academic foundation. Our kindergarten classroom also features a computer lab with a 1:2 computer/student ratio.  We invite families to compare our program with other kindergarten programs, both public and private, in order to make the best decision for their children.
Our kindergarten curriculum encompasses:
• Language & Literacy • Mathematics • History-Social Science
• Science • Auditory Arts – Music • Visual & Performing Arts
• Physical Education • Health • Bible Studies
• Social & Emotional • Technology • Indoor & Outdoor Play
Jr. Kindergarten (Transitional Kindergarten)
Our transitional kindergarten program is designed for children who turn five by December 2nd but may not be ready for the demands of traditional kindergarten. Â TK allows children additional time to be successful in meeting kindergarten standards thus fostering a higher level of self-esteem, which can have a significant impact on current as well as future academic success.
The program is taught by a credentialed teacher in a traditional kindergarten classroom and utilizes the same curriculum used in our kindergarten program. Â For more information about transitional kindergarten, please visit http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/gs/em/kinderfaq.asp.
Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K)
Our Pre-Kindergarten program focuses on kindergarten readiness with an emphasis on meeting the individual needs and learning styles of each child. A 1:10 teacher/student ratio enables teachers to provide more personalized attention. Children are provided with opportunities to explore, engage in small and large groups, participate in independent and self-directed activities, and engage in play.  Teachers encourage children to practice skills that will help them be successful both in and out of school.  We utilize curriculum that follows the Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence.  For more information on the Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence, please visit http://www.coreknowledge.org/the-preschool-sequence.

Children are encouraged to practice skills that will help prepare them for what comes next in Pre-Kindergarten and beyond.  Our goal is to generate excitement for learning while fostering an attitude of belief in self for solving problems, thinking critically, completing new tasks, and communicating needs to peers as well as adults.

This program is designed to help children socialize with peers, communicate needs to both children and adults, participate in individual and group activities, use their manners, and develop more autonomy in performing many tasks, including toilet training.  Teachers are committed to maintaining a safe, playful learning environment with developmentally appropriate activities for children to explore.  Children are introduced to age-appropriate concepts in religion, math, science, social science, language, music, and art. A 1:8 teacher/child ratio ensures that children receive more personalized attention and individualized instruction.
Our curriculum encompasses:
• Movement & Coordination • Autonomy & Social Skills • Language/Communication
• Mathematics • Science • Visual Art
• Auditory Art – Music • Bible Stories
Morning & Afternoon Enrichment – Child Care
Our preschool & kindergarten enrichment program provides before and after school care designed to engage children 2 years through kindergarten in planned activities that extend what they are learning in their classroom. Â Children participate in activities that include free play, learning centers (e.g. art, science, listening, music, etc.), group activities and games, snack-time, quiet time, and indoor and outdoor play (both guided and child-initiated).
Morning and afternoon staff collaborate with one another to support, enrich and enhance what the children do throughout the day.  Ongoing communication also helps with keeping parents informed about their child’s day.
To sum up our enrichment program in three words…nurturing, engaging, and fun!
